The inspection point
In food and pharmaceutical packaging a clean surface is not a quality preference but a regulatory requirement. Contamination is small and accidental: a fibre, a few specks of dust, a fingerprint, an oily smear. You cannot collect samples of them all in advance, because each one looks different.
How it runs on the line
The unit is placed to see the whole surface in one frame. The model learns the clean surface only and flags any mark that departs from it, so the type of contamination never has to be defined up front. Rejected packs leave the line and the image is kept for traceability.
