The inspection point
A part placed backwards is usually the right part; only its orientation is wrong. Polarity in electronics and tray direction in packaging therefore need a check of their own. On near-symmetrical parts the difference is a single mark or a chamfer.
How it runs on the line
The unit looks at the feeding point. The model learns the appearance of a correctly oriented part, so one rotated 180 degrees or lying on its side is flagged as deviation. The result goes to the robot or the feeder and the part is corrected or removed.
