Assembly and missing part
Gasket and O-ring presence
The inspection point
A missing or twisted seal goes unnoticed until the leak test, and by then the product is assembled and taking it apart costs money. The seal is usually black on a black body, so the contrast is low, and spotting a twist inside the groove is a job of its own.
How it runs on the line
The lighting is angled to separate the seal from the body. The model learns how a correctly seated seal looks, so an empty groove and a seal riding out of it are flagged as deviation. The decision reaches the assembly line.
OKO-ring seated in its groove
NOKO-ring missing, groove empty
