Connector seating and pin check

The inspection point

A half-mated connector causes no trouble on the assembly line; it shows up when the vehicle or the appliance fails in the field. The difference is a millimetre: the latch never closed, or a pin leans to one side. The harness sits slightly differently on every part, so the check has to work independently of position.

How it runs on the line

The unit focuses on the point where the connector mates. The model learns how correctly mated connections look, and an open latch, a gap at the joint or a bent pin is flagged as deviation. The decision reaches the line and the faulty assembly is shown to the operator.
