Code reading

Data-matrix reading

The inspection point

The traceability chain starts when the code is read; a code that cannot be read means the history of that part is lost. Laser marking on metal is low in contrast, the surface reflects, and marking depth drifts from batch to batch. Presence is not enough: readability has to be measured too.

How it runs on the line

The lighting is angled to drop a shadow into the cells of the code; on this job reading success depends on the light. The unit reads the code and passes the result to line control and to the traceability record. A part whose code cannot be read is removed, so nothing leaves the line unrecorded.

Let us test your part.

We bring the unit to your line and measure your own part at your own line speed. The quote comes after that measurement.
