The inspection point
The wrong product in the wrong box is the most common error at changeover. The barcode is the most direct way to catch it, but print shift, a creased label and glossy film all make reading harder. The code has to be read and then compared against the order.
How it runs on the line
The unit looks at the point where the label passes. The barcode is read and compared with the product code the line is running; a mismatch is flagged as a reject. The result and the content read go to the PLC and the record is kept.
